Make complex apps easier to move forward
At Jumbo, I created a SwiftUI-first path over legacy UIKit, LayoutKit, and Objective-C foundations using MVVM, repositories, and provider boundaries.
Kieran Standeven - app builder
I like working close to the product: shaping the interaction, building the app, shipping it, and improving it over time. That has meant university, lottery, logistics, retail, and independent product work across Flutter, Swift, SwiftUI, Firebase, maps, and large production codebases.
How I work
I tend to be most useful where product detail, platform knowledge, team systems, and delivery all meet.
At Jumbo, I created a SwiftUI-first path over legacy UIKit, LayoutKit, and Objective-C foundations using MVVM, repositories, and provider boundaries.
At QUT, I led Material 3 restyling across colours, typography, spacing, components, light mode, dark mode, and tablet support.
Pin Masters, Death-o-nome, and Local Golf are where I pressure-test new technology in real products: app UX, maps, Firebase, Flutter web, game feel, hosting, analytics, and the practical tradeoffs that only show up once something is live.
Featured projects
Three independent apps across course mapping, music practice, and game loops, each with a live surface you can open.
Golf GPS and course operations platform built around yardages, routing, pace insight, alerts, and course mapping.
pinmasters.app
A stylised Flutter metronome with a precise timing engine, animated character, custom audio, and macabre visual identity.
deathonome.com
A playable golf game on real course maps, with shot mechanics, daily challenges, leaderboards, shot maps, and 3D putting.
localgolf.appCareer context
Languages and frameworks still matter, but mostly because they show what you can responsibly ship, maintain, and improve with a team.
Available for the right senior app work
I am strongest where product decisions and engineering judgement need to meet: Flutter, Swift, migration strategy, team patterns, and details users can feel.
